Germany announced the threat of wiretaps to the intelligence services of the Russian Federation in the government quarter in Berlin

“We are very carefully monitoring what intelligence agencies the Russian government uses. We are very vigilant and protect ourselves. And we are taking measures,” Fezer emphasized.

The minister added that its department is on guard of “security and peace in Germany”, protecting them from “Russian espionage, from attempts to influence, from lies and military propaganda.”

At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs warned that the conversations that are conducted through conventional telecommunication networks “in principle are not protected from listening.” It should be assumed that foreign special services “make significant efforts to intercept and listening to telecommunication formations,” she said.

According to the Bild newspaper, a broadband dipole antenna is installed on the roof of the Russian Embassy in Germany, which can be used to collect disorders. It has been observing for several years now. Members of the Bundestag from committees related to security, in this regard, replaced the bureau in parliament and moved to another building.

The expert of the Christian Democratic Union for Internal Affairs Stefan Heck already demanded that the Russian diplomatic mission remove the antenna, adding that it “threatens our safety and is a provocation.” The reaction of the Russian diplomatic mission has not yet followed.
