Together with the Honor 70 5G smartphone, Honor today introduced the Honor 70 Pro and Honor 70 Pro +. The difference between them is in the SoC: the Pro version uses the single-chip system Dimensity 8000, and the Pro + – Dimensity 9000. Thus, the performance of Honor 70 Pro + bypasses most Android flagships, including Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. During the presentation, the new products were actively compared to the iPhone 13, of course, not in favor of Apple smartphones.
The emphasis in the novelties is on the cameras. Thus, the resolution embedded in the front display was 50 MP. The screen itself is characterized by a diagonal of 6.78 inches and a frame rate of 120 Hz. Fingerprint scanner – sub-screen.
The main camera system is the same in these models. The main sensor is the new Sony IMX800 with a resolution of 54 MP. Optical format – 1 / 1.49 inches, so for the niche of mid-range smartphones, which include Honor 70, it is large. There is also a 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide angle lens and an 8-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens that provides 3x optical zoom (this module has an optical image stabilization system). Honor Image Engine is responsible for processing photos and videos, including in HDR mode.
The new products run Android 12 with Magic UI 6.1 interface. Interestingly, during the presentation, Honor did not announce the capacity of Honor 70 Pro and Honor 70 Pro + batteries, but noted that they support charging power of 100 watts and charge 50% in half an hour.
They look like this:
- Honor 70 Pro: 8/256 GB – $ 555, 12/256 GB – $ 600, 12/512 GB – $ 660;
- Honor 70 Pro +: 8/256 GB – $ 645, 12/256 GB – $ 690.
