A tram killed a pensioner on Pacific Street in Khabarovsk. This was announced on May 25 by the Amur Mash Telegram channel.
According to preliminary data, the 74-year-old Khabarovsk woman walked along the tracks, because the sidewalk was dug up due to repairs.
During the passage of transport, she moved away from the tracks, missed the car and returned to the rails again. However, on a slight rise between the stops “University of Economics and Law” and “Topographic”, the brakes of the tram failed. As a result, he rolled back and crushed the woman.
The pensioner died at the scene.

It is noted that the passengers screamed and banged on the windows, trying to warn the grandmother. But she didn’t notice because she was walking with her back to the transport.
Currently, the traffic police are investigating whether the tram brakes really had a malfunction.
