In Kyiv, a man tried to take the money that the child musicians had collected for the ZSU

In Kyiv, a man tried to rob a 12-year-old girl who, together with her friends, was collecting money to help the military.

A company of children played musical instruments in the city center to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kyiv police reports.

The little volunteers were noticed by a man who then followed them.

The attacker approached the girl and tried to tear off the backpack in which the money was collected from her shoulder.

“The Kyiv police received a report on hotline 102 that an unknown person tried to rob a minor girl.

Police crews patrolling the central part of Kyiv and district police officers immediately arrived at the scene,” law enforcement officers say.

Passers-by noticed the attacker’s actions – they stopped the attacker and handed him over to the police.

Investigators have started criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 15 and Part 4 of Art. 186 of the Criminal Code (Attempt to commit robbery during martial law).

The man has already been informed of the suspicion. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
