In Melitopol, the occupiers spread rumors about the disconnection of Ukrainian operators (video)

The occupiers are spreading information that from June 1, there will be Russian communications in Melitopol and allegedly Kyivstar will stop supplying its services. It is this kind of information that is being disseminated in the central branch of Ukrtelecom, which has been squeezed out by the orcs, and in the Chess School, where SIM cards of a Russian operator are sold. At the same time, the invaders claim that the decision to cut off the occupied territories from the information space of the country was made by the government of Ukraine.

However, the Kyivstar operator reports that there are no plans to turn off Melitopol. The company intends to continue to provide communications. However, in the event of a blackout or damaged base stations, there may naturally be communication problems.

In addition, the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council called the information about the disconnection of the occupied territories from Ukrainian communications and the Internet fake.

The JRC states that disconnecting Ukrainians from mobile operators and Internet providers is part of the occupational actions to infiltrate the Russian propaganda into the Ukrainian media space. Shutdowns are carried out only by Russian invaders.

“Ukraine is making every effort to ensure that Ukrainian radio and television broadcasting works in every city, even occupied ones,” the ministry said.
