In the border areas of the Kyiv, Zhytomyr and Rivne regions, restrictions have been strengthened

Additional temporary regime restrictions have been established in the regions of Kyiv, Zhytomyr and Rivne regions bordering Belarus

Literally: “We inform you that by order of the head of the 9th border detachment named after the Sichovykh Riflemen, additional temporary regime restrictions have been introduced within the controlled border areas of the Kyiv, Zhytomyr and Rivne regions.”

Details: Restrictions will be in effect from May 23 until the end of martial law.

Thus, any movement of civilians is prohibited in the area immediately adjacent to the state border, 1000 meters wide, except for the territory of settlements directly adjacent to the state border.

Within the rest of the territory of controlled border regions, namely, within 20 km from the state border of the Korostensky district of the Zhytomyr region, Sarnensky and Varakhsky districts of the Rivne region and within 5 km from the state border of the Vyshgorodsky district of the Kyiv region, it is prohibited:

organize and carry out hunting;
fishing, conducting various types of recreation, sailing all types of watercraft on rivers, lakes, and other water bodies located within the border strip. The release of small-sized watercraft on rivers, lakes, and other water bodies that are within the border strip should be carried out only with the permission of the head of the state border protection unit.

The restrictions do not apply to representatives of military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, law enforcement agencies (divisions), civil protection authorities (divisions), public utilities, emergency medical care, other state and communal property entities that ensure the maintenance of infrastructure and provide the population with services of a humanitarian, social nature (in the performance of their official duties).
