IT army attacked more than 400 Russian resources in a week – Ministry of Digital Development

From May 16 to May 22, the IT army attacked more than 400 online resources of the Russian Federation, including the NashStore app store, an analogue of the App Store and Google Play.

According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Digital Transformation reports this on Telegram.

“The IT army continues to defend the cyberfront and strike at the enemy. From May 16 to May 22, more than 400 Russian online resources were attacked.

Due to cyberattacks by the IT army, many sites of regional media were inaccessible.

Experienced difficulties in the days of the announced launch of the Russian app store NashStore, an analogue of the App Store and Google Play. Import substitution didn’t work.

Also, the Russians had difficulties with the sale and rental of real estate.

The Ministry of Digital Development said that Russian banks still cannot recover from previous attacks by the IT army and cope with new ones on their websites and online banking.

Since the day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the IT army has attacked about 2,000 Russian resources. Many of them were attacked again.

“We continue to resist Russian aggression and deliver preventive strikes against their cyber positions,” the message says.

As Ukrinform reported, on May 19, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said that the Internet corporation ICANN had allocated $1 million to support the stable operation of the Ukrainian domain system. Since the Russian invasion, Ukraine’s domain system has been subjected to massive cyberattacks, and investments in the security system are required to ensure its smooth operation.
