According to the YouTube star’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor, Paul is more likely to fight Alvarez than to meet Tyson because of their mutual respect

Jake Paul is more likely to fight Canelo Alvarez than Mike Tyson due to the “mutual respect” he shares with the legendary heavyweight.
That’s the view of the YouTube star’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor, who believes a fight with Alvarez in three years’ time would be more realistic and claims Paul has advantages over the undisputed 168lb champion. Paul has announced he will return to the ring on August 13 with an opponent who has yet to be announced, from a list that includes Tommy Fury and UFC legend Anderson Silva.
“I think Jake Paul and Canelo will happen, I don’t think it’s just hype,” Taylor said MyBettingSites. I mean, we’re obviously talking about Jake in three years, not now.

Logan Paul admits he’s “excited” at the prospect of fighting brother Jake
“Jake is good, but imagine how much better he’ll get three years from now. He will only get better. He only goes forward. Jake will be ten times better than Jake Paul is today. And he would be competitive. Canelo will be a Hall of Famer, but give Jake a few years. Jake is a stronger guy, taller and longer than Canelo, but we can’t discount Canelo’s abilities. Now Jake is still learning in this game. But give him a few years.”
“I really don’t see Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fighting just because they’re very good friends. They have too much mutual respect to get into an argument. Maybe I’m missing something, maybe they’ll fight, but I just don’t see Mike going in there with Jake any time soon, I’d be surprised.”
Alvarez has refused to rule out a future meeting with Paul ahead of his recent loss to Dmitry Bivol and also hailed his recent impact on boxing. The 25-year-old has suggested facing the Mexican star in the last fight of his career in a bid to fulfill his ambition of becoming world champion in the sport.

It was reported that Paul had agreed to a lucrative exhibition match with Tyson so the two would meet in Las Vegas. However, both men denied the report, with Tyson claiming he will not consider any more opportunities in the ring.
However, Tyson has since confirmed that he plans to hold talks with Paul over a potential meeting that could take place at heavyweight if the YouTube star agrees to a move. Paul has since addressed the offer, claiming any fight with Tyson could be the greatest ever.
“Ideally, that’s sure to be legendary,” he told Boxing Social of the potential fight. “The old generation of boxing with the new generation of boxing all mixed into one. As Mike Tyson said on the Joe Rogan podcast, it would be one of the biggest pay-per-views of all time.”
