The Armed Forces, which they oppose the Russian aggressor, are armed with several types of portable anti-aircraft missile systems. One of them is the FIM-92 Stinger. This “bird” was developed by the American corporation “General Dynamics” and adopted in 1981. But her respectable age does not affect the quality of the destruction of racists by Ukrainian troops.
Only one person is needed to operate the FIM-92 Stinger. These weapons can destroy not only aircraft, but also other ground equipment of the enemy, as well as cruise missiles. The affected area of this complex is up to 4500 meters.

It’s like taking a button phone and a smartphone – the functions and purpose are the same, but on a smartphone it’s more interesting and faster. The same goes for weapons, ”Ukrainian defender Oleksandr told the Ukrainian Military Television.
Since 1981, FIM-92 Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems have produced more than 700,000. They are in service in more than 30 countries around the world and the demand for them is still growing. Today, these weapons are actively working along the front line. Thanks to the complexes and other weapons of the Western partners, Ukrainian defenders are fighting back with dignity against the Russian occupiers.
