The Russians began to massively buy wired headphones and push-button telephones, RIA Novosti reports with reference to a study by the Chek Index analytical resource.
In addition to the growth in demand for push-button phones and wired headphones, there is also a drop in demand for smartphones and wireless headphones.
“Smartphone sales in volume terms were 21% lower than last year, push-button phones were 15% higher, wireless headphones were 18% lower, and wired headphones were 22% higher,” the study states.
Experts also note a decrease in the average check in some categories – smartphones “lost weight” by 5%, to 15,610 rubles, push-button phones – by 2%, to 960 rubles. Wireless headphones also fell in price – by 4%, to 1892 rubles, and wired – by 5%, to 198 rubles.
Earlier, Vedomosti, citing retailers, reported that sales of push-button phones in Russia had sharply tripled.
