There are reports on the Internet that Samsung is preparing to produce Tensor processors for Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. It is expected to be based on Samsung’s 4-nanometer process technology used in the Samsung Exynos 2200 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Google probably had no choice but to work with Samsung to produce the second-generation Tensor. The fact is that the 4-nanometer TSMC process is in high demand and most likely all the capacity is occupied, as Qualcomm is building its new solution Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.
Recall that the new second-generation Tensor processor will be used in Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, which will be presented this fall. They may also show the flexible Google Pixel Notepad, and next year the Google Pixel Tablet and the affordable Pixel 7A smartphone.
