The updated Peugeot 408 debuted in China. The sedan for the local market received an exterior in the style of the European Peugeot 308, as well as a completely new interior with the i-Cockpit brand architecture. The model range of engines still has a single unit. It is a 1.6 turbocharged engine with 170 horsepower, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The sedan is made in the style of “aesthetics of the lion’s soul”, and in general literally repeats the European Peugeot 308. In front – narrow headlights, “clicking” of running lights and frameless grilles, in the center of which is the new logo. Behind – lights with a dark jumper. So far, the updated 408 is presented only in the version with a 1.6 turbo engine (170 hp) and a six-speed automatic Aisin.

The interior of the restyled Peugeot 408 is completely new. The interior used to look simple, but now the sedan has got the i-Cockpit proprietary architecture with a virtual dashboard above the steering wheel and keys on the center console. Most of the elements in the model are original, and instead of a miniature transmission control lever, the classic lever is preserved. A 12-inch central display is standard.
