Although most eligible smartphones have already received the Android 12 software update, there are some devices that have not yet used the latest software. Xiaomi 12X is one such device. However, the Chinese company has released a global update of Android 12 for Xiaomi 12X, so it will be available soon.
The Xiaomi 12X debuted in March with the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro. Although the two flagships got MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box, the available Xiaomi 12X was unlucky and it got Android 11. For some reason, the global version, which was launched months after the initial Chinese release, was also pre-installed with Android 11. But in any case, the company has finally released an update to Android 12 for the Xiaomi 12X.
Earlier on Xiaomiui there was information that the build number of the latest Android 12 update is V13.0.1.0.SLDMIXM. The update contains 3.1 GB of data, so you’d better connect to Wi-Fi if your carrier doesn’t allow you to download that much data.
According to the official change log, the new build has all the standard features of Android 12, as well as a security patch from April 2022, which contains seven security enhancements for the Android Framework.
It will be recalled that the smartphone is equipped with a 6.28 ″ OLED display with HDR10 + and Dolby Vision. The smartphone runs on a Snapdragon 870 5G processor. The Xiaomi 12X has a triple rear camera with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel lens and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front panel, it has one 32 MP camera for selfies. Xiaomi 12X runs on a 4500 mAh battery and supports fast charging with a capacity of 67 watts.
