Earlier this year, Redmi introduced its Redmi K50 series in China. The series consists of the Redmi K50G, which runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, the Redmi K50 Pro and the Vanilla K50. Now, it seems, the brand is preparing to add another device to this line, as a recent report showed that the more powerful flagship Redmi is in the works.
Earlier it was reported that the device, named Redmi K50 Ultra, ran on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 platform, which is much more efficient, but also more powerful thanks to the 4-nm TSMC node. Now a new report from Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station has shown that the smartphone will have a Full HD + OLED display combined with 120 Hz. It will be a flat screen with a narrow frame around it, and the display will have a single hole in the center at the top.
In addition, the Redmi K50 Ultra has a 50-megapixel main camera, which is likely to be a better sensor than the 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor featured in the Redmi K50 Pro. The device will be powered by a large battery with a capacity of 4800-5000 mAh with support for fast charging 120 watts.
