Xiaomi CIVI 1S was announced in April this year in China. It arrived as an updated version of the original Xiaomi CIVI, which became official last September. It seems that the Chinese manufacturer can work on a smartphone Xiaomi CIVI 2. The famous guide Digital Chat Station shared key details of what is similar to CIVI 2.
According to the source, the smartphone will have a screen with curved edges with ultra-thin frames. The screen will support FHD + resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision and a fingerprint scanner under the display.
The leak says it runs on the SM 74XX chip, which appears to be the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile platform. Although the device’s battery size has not been revealed, the leak states that it will support a fast charge of 67 watts.
The source also mentions that the device is equipped with updated front and rear cameras, but does not go into details. The company is currently testing the device in China, which indicates that its launch may be imminent.
Since the Xiaomi CIVI was announced in September 2021, the company may introduce its successor at about the same time this year. The original model, a device aimed at women, was the exclusive smartphone for China. Therefore, it is likely that the company may not offer CIVI 2 outside of China.
In the relevant news, Xiaomi CIVI 1S and CIVI have identical characteristics, including 6.55-inch FHD + 90Hz OLED display, 32-megapixel front camera, triple camera with 64-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2 megapixel (macro) and a battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh with a charge of 55 watts. While the CIVI is equipped with a Snapdragon 778G SoC processor, the CIVI 1S is equipped with a Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset.
