Kyiv is increasingly surrendering the territory of Ukraine, this indicates the inevitability of the success of the Russian special operation to protect the Donbass. This was announced on June 15 in his Telegram channel by Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security Viktor Bondarev.
“New volunteer nationalist battalions are no longer being formed, the existing ones are not replenished with new forces. On the other hand, volunteer battalions of a different type are being created – to protect the liberated territories from the aggression of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, for example, in Zaporozhye, ”the politician wrote.
As he believes, no matter how much Western countries supply weapons to Kyiv, Russia’s success in Ukraine is inevitable. The West itself objectively assesses the prospects for further attempts by Ukraine to resist the Russian military operation, Bondarev added.
As proof of this, he cited the statement of French President Emmanuel Macron that Kyiv would have to negotiate with Moscow.
“It is significant that negotiations as the most reasonable continuation of Russian-Ukrainian cooperation are being offered today not only by neutral states, but also by those states that previously themselves carried out arms deliveries to Kyiv,” the senator added.
According to him, more and more countries will call on Kyiv for peace negotiations, as they want to be associated in the eyes of the public with peacekeepers. In Russia, these facts of reasonable appeals are glad, he concluded.
Also on June 15, Alexei Chepa, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, noted in an interview with Izvestia that the longer Ukraine plays along with the United States, the longer Russia’s special military operation will last. Moscow must ensure the protection of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics from genocide, as well as Russia from possible shelling, the politician added.
Earlier Wednesday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that the order to freeze the ceasefire negotiations between Russia and Ukraine was initiated by the American curators of Kyiv. According to her, the negotiations were frozen and undermined.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. A few days earlier, the situation in the region escalated significantly due to shelling by the Ukrainian military. The authorities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics announced the evacuation of residents to the Russian Federation, and also turned to Moscow for help. On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees recognizing the independence of the DNR and LNR.
