Most recently, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the creation of an online platform UNITED24 to raise funds to help Ukrainian defenders affected by the war and the restoration of the state. It is designed to unite people from all over the world to help Ukraine.
Over $ 43.6 million has been raised in the three weeks of operation of this UNITED24 fundraising platform to raise funds to support Ukraine, the project team said. “A total of $ 43,697,282 has been raised in three weeks of UNITED24’s work,” the press release said.
At the same time, it is noted that the Ministry of Health, in particular, received 30 million 215 thousand 400 UAH ($ 1,032,972), of which 26.5 million UAH was allocated for the purchase of 35 vehicles for artificial lung ventilation. According to the UNITED24 team, the new equipment will be provided to emergency and disaster medicine centers in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Cherkasy, Chernihiv and Poltava regions of Ukraine.
“Currently, we assist in the work of emergency medical services in four neighboring regions: Luhansk, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Zaporizhia. They are ready to save everyone who needs help without hesitation. I will never forget how on April 8, 2022, we immediately went to Kramatorsk to help evacuate the victims of the explosion at the railway station to the Dnieper. Wounded children, women, old people – this was one of the worst spectacles we have ever seen. To transport critically ill patients, we need ventilators, and I am grateful that we are now receiving them as part of the UNITED24 platform, “said Radiy Shevchenko, director of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Emergency Care and Disaster Medicine.

The project team also announced that the first target collection of the campaign will take place on May 29 during the telethon Save Ukraine – #StopWar, from where all donations will go to the account assigned to the Ministry of Health of the NBU. It is planned that the funds raised will be used to purchase C-arch surgical X-ray machines, which, in particular, help to detect shrapnel wounds.
The Government has been instructed to introduce a “single window” for donations from charities, international partners and citizens to support Ukraine, including in the following areas: assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, humanitarian, medical and children’s assistance, infrastructure rehabilitation, digital and information countering armed aggression.
“We will raise funds today during the charity telethon Save Ukraine – #StopWar in Berlin. We use every opportunity to get help and support from Ukraine from the world community. For all the donations received during the broadcast, X-ray surgical C-arch systems will be purchased for medical institutions in 12 regions of Ukraine. Thanks to this equipment, doctors will be able to detect shrapnel wounds and more quickly provide the necessary assistance to the seriously injured. The cost of one device is over $ 100,000. This is the first target collection at UNITED24, when we raise funds for specific needs. We will continue to add new lots, “said Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, in his Telegram channel.
