The head of Nokia predicted the year when humanity will abandon smartphones

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Nokia CEO Pekka Lundmark spoke about his vision for the future of smartphones.

In his opinion, by 2030, humanity will begin to abandon smartphones. By this time, the 6G communication standard will also appear. The manager is also confident that by the end of the 2020s, people will begin to actively use “smart” glasses and other devices that will be worn on the face.
Lundmark is also confident that by 2030, humanity will still create digital twin technology, which is close to the metaverse. But this will require a different level of computing power than what a person has now.

“By then, the smartphone as we know it today will definitely no longer be the most common interface. Many of these devices will be built directly into our bodies,” said the head of Nokia.
