How much does summer vacation cost for a family with a child
According to him, this year the most profitable months for summer holidays will be August and September. The more working days in a month, the more profitable it is for going on vacation, since the amount of vacation pay is unchanged, and the cost of each working day depends on the number of these days in a month. In August 2022 there will be 23 working days, and in September – 22.
In addition, there are no public holidays in August or September, as, for example, in June. Therefore, if the vacation falls on the first summer month, then it is worth considering that payment for both vacation and wages will not be calculated for June 12, a public holiday and a day off.

When calculating vacation pay, they find out the average daily earnings: the total amount of income for the year is divided by 12 (by the number of months in a year), and then by 29.3 (the average number of days in a month). The amount received is multiplied by the number of vacation days. The average daily wage is calculated by calendar days, not by working days, so it is usually less than the cost of a working day. Because of this, vacation pay is less than salary.
“Also keep in mind that the employer does not have the right to send the employee on vacation without taking into account his wishes on dates. An employee’s annual paid leave must be provided in accordance with the vacation schedule, which is mandatory for both the employee and the employer. Therefore, you have the right to choose for yourself the most favorable period for rest, ”Veterkov specified.
However, if it turned out that the vacation had to be interrupted and go to work, the salary will be accrued from the very first working day. Then the vacation pay is recalculated based on the reduced number of vacation days, and the amount paid for unused days will be counted towards the salary.
