This indicates that this year’s new A16 Bionic chip for this year’s iPhone will be produced using the same manufacturing process as the A15, with minor improvements.
This aligns well with rumors that the standard iPhone 14 will use the A15 chip without the slight performance boost expected from the A16 reserved for the Pro series.
The analyst also stated that the next generation MacBook Air will run on the M1 chip as the M2 successor won’t be available until next year. However, Apple may release a similar chipset and give it a new name for marketing purposes, which is not unheard of in the mobile world.
