What to play on consoles and PC. Ten games to look forward to this summer

The gaming sector this year did not stand aside from Russian aggression against Ukraine. In particular, against the background of the war, Sony stopped deliveries to the Russian market, and the PlayStation got Ukrainian localization, although with the outbreak of the war, game sales fell tenfold. The Ukrainian studio GSC Game World relocated to the Czech Republic and resumed work on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.

This summer will see releases of both new products and games from well-known universes, including Diablo and Star Wars. Liga.Tech has prepared a selection of ten expected new products for the summer.
Diablo Immortal

A 4-10 player raid game developed by NetEase MMO studio and curated by Blizzard.

Diablo Immortal is an action RPG with an isometric view from the Diablo game universe.

The events of the game take place five years after the destruction of the stones of the universe. There are six classes available in the game. This is a barbarian, monk, sorcerer, crusader, demon hunter and necromancer.

The game has touch controls for mobile devices.

Release date: June 2, 2022.

Spellforce 3

A combination of real-time strategy and fantasy role-playing game, it tells about the events leading up to SpellForce: The Order of Dawn. In the game, you can simultaneously develop the base and manage the economy, expand the territory and manage a group of heroes that you need to create from the very beginning.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2—The Sith Lords

A first-person role-playing game from LucasArts based on the Star Wars universe. Obsidian Entertainment, Inc. worked on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 – The Sith Lords. and Aspyr Media.

Release date: June 8, 2022 on Nintendo Switch.

Shadowrun Trilogy

A collection of three turn-based games Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun Dragonfall – Director’s Cut and Shadowrun Hong Kong – Extended Edition is based on the board game of the same name. Shadowrun Trilogy combines cyberpunk with fantasy creatures.

To achieve the goal, the player will have to enlist the help of other shadowrunners and learn magic and technology.

Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course

Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course will be released this summer for Cuphead, a 1930s cartoon side-scrolling action-platformer.

In the story, the brothers Cuphead and Mugman go to a mysterious island, where they must help the cook Saltbaker, where they are joined by Miss Chalis.

The add-on has new types of weapons, magic and bosses.

No Man’s Sky

The multi-planet space sim is coming to Nintendo Switch this summer. In a first-person perspective game, you can explore alien worlds and interact with aliens and other forms of extraterrestrial life. As well as extract resources, complete tasks and develop your ship.

Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed

A remake of a sci-fi shooter released in 2006. The hero in the form of an alien must mock people in different locations – Bay City in California, Albion, the Japanese island of Takoshima – and with the help of strange weapons like a dance gun.

Rebooting the story of a gang of thieves – Eli, Nina, Kevin and Boss – with classic and unusual weapons, cars and hoverboards. The role of the Boss is given to the player, who must coordinate the path of the gang.

Thymesia

A third-person soulslicking action game set in a kingdom that is in decline after an attempt to ban alchemy. The protagonist is a man named Corvus, who suffers from amnesia and wears the mask of a plague doctor. He kills enemies with conventional weapons and the “force of sickness”.

Monument Valley

An isometric puzzle where each level is made in its own architectural style and has its own puzzles. The player must complete the level of the building, pointing to the destination and reacting to numerous game events.

There is also a Monument Valley 2 game set in the outside world.
