More than 90% of cars imported from abroad during April-May were purchased in the European Union.
This was reported by MMR with reference to the data of the Institute of Car Research.
According to experts, the sharp rise in “European” cars and the decline in “Americans” is primarily due to logistical problems. Due to the temporarily blocked Ukrainian ports, delivery of cars from the United States has become more difficult and expensive.
Thus, the first place in the top of the most popular countries was taken by neighboring Poland. From this country, our compatriots exported 37.2% of the total number of used cars for “zero” customs clearance – more than 30 thousand cars.
In second place was Germany (28.7%, more than 23 thousand cars).
Third place in Lithuania (13%, 10.5 thousand cars).
Also popular among Ukrainians are the United States, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, France, Slovakia, Belgium and Switzerland.
