Xiaomi is releasing a security patch for the Mi A3 from July 2022 worldwide. The Mi A3 was launched three years ago and is Xiaomi’s last Android One smartphone. This may be the penultimate support update for the device. The Mi A3 will join the unsupported list after the latest software update.
The Mi A3 came with Android 9.0 Pie and was upgraded to Android 11 during its time. During its three years of existence, the software was regularly updated. Xiaomi has promised three years of security patches and updates for the device. He is now on the verge of achieving that promise in three years. The 8MB download will update the Mi A3 to the July 2022 security patch. More details about the update can be found in the Android security bulletin.
Eligible Mi A3 smartphones will receive the July 2022 security patch via an over-the-air (OTA) update. The phone settings will provide the necessary information about the currently available patch. Alternatively, users can download the update using Xiaomi Firmware Updater. Mi A3 models in Europe were last updated in June 2022.
