The Cabinet of Ministers agreed on the decision of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine to dismiss the General Director of JSC Ukrtransnafta Mykola Gavrylenko and appoint Volodymyr Tsependa to this position.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the press service of Naftogaz.
“Mykola Gavrylenko ceased his work as General Director of Ukrtransnafta JSC, Volodymyr Tsependa became the new head. The corresponding decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine yesterday, May 23, 2022,” the message says.
Naftogaz emphasized that the new head of Ukrtransnafta faces an urgent and critical task – to be one of the main factors in resolving the fuel crisis in Ukraine over the coming weeks.
According to government decree No. 410-r dated May 23, the Cabinet of Ministers agreed on the decision of the Naftogaz board to change the head of Ukrtransnafta.
Vladimir Tsependa worked for more than nine years at the enterprises of the Naftogaz Group. He moved to the position of general director of Ukrtransnafta from the position of head of the procurement department of JSC Ukrtransgaz.
As reported, Ukrtransnafta JSC is the operator of Ukraine’s oil pipeline system. The founder and sole shareholder of the company is Naftogaz.
The total volume of oil transportation transported through Ukrainian oil pipelines in 2021 amounted to 15.7 million tons, which is only 0.2% less compared to 2020.
