Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman shared information that Apple plans to introduce an updated lock screen in iOS 16, improved multitasking in iPadOS 16, changed navigation in watchOS 9, additional smart home features in tvOS 16, new applications in macOS 13 and more.
In a new issue of his Power On newsletter, Gourmet shared his expectations of all future Apple operating systems, including iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, tvOS 16 and macOS 13. He said the updates would be “quite significant.”
According to Gurman, Apple plans to make a number of changes to the lock screen “iOS 16”, including a new type of wallpaper that displays information like widgets.
In iPadOS 16, Apple is largely pumping up “windows and multitasking”, and tvOS 16 will get “more smart home connection”.
In addition, an insider expects Apple to turn iMessage into a messenger by adding “more features related to audio messaging.”
The watchOS 9 update will offer “significant improvements that affect day-to-day operation and navigation,” along with updated Apple Watch dials and a new low-power mode.
macOS 13 will offer a new system settings menu interface – they will be more like iOS Settings.
The official announcement of iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, tvOS 16 and macOS 13 will take place at the World Apple Developers Conference 2022, which starts next Monday, June 6.
