The head of the US Cyber Command, General Paul Nakasone, said that the US military was carrying out “next hacking operations” to support Ukraine. He said this in an interview with Sky News.
“We have carried out a number of operations of all kinds: offensive, defensive, informational,” the general said.
The military did not say what the cyber attacks were, but stressed that they were all carried out legally – in accordance with Pentagon policy and civilian oversight.
According to Nakasone, this was helped by the strategic cooperation of the United States with other Western countries, which has intensified since 2018.
“The ability to share information, the ability to verify its accuracy and timeliness, as well as its applicability on a larger scale, was very, very powerful in Ukraine’s war with Russia,” Nakasone said.
