Earlier this year, several developers found mentions of the RealityOS platform in the App Store logs. Apple has now registered such a trademark. It seems that the company is seriously preparing to release its headset for mixed reality, because it is for her new OS.
According to the source, an unknown company, Realityo Systems LLC, has registered the RealityOS trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). It happened on December 8, 2021. The trademark is intended for such categories as “peripherals”, “software” and, most importantly, “computing equipment”.
Although it may be a random company, it is evidence that this particular trademark is associated with Apple. It has long been known that the Cupertino people have several fictitious companies, which she uses to register trademarks and patents for unreleased products – all for the sake of secrecy. For example, one of Apple’s front companies is Yosemite Research LLC, which is used to register macOS names. Interestingly, both Yosemite Research LLC and Realityo Systems LLC are registered at the same address.
It will be recalled that Apple’s board of directors recently demonstrated a new AR / VR headset. It is possible that the product can be announced at the WWDC 2022 conference.
