The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan stated that on Tuesday night, a car belonging to the Azerbaijani embassy in the United States was fired upon by unknown persons.
This was reported by “European Truth” with reference to the message of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
On Wednesday, the agency summoned the US Chargé d’Affaires in Baku, expressing “serious concern and dissatisfaction” with the incident in Washington and a demand to guarantee the security of Baku’s diplomatic mission.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry recalled that in recent weeks, their embassies have been subjected to “systematic attacks by radical representatives of the Armenian community in foreign countries, in particular attacks and acts of vandalism.”
“We sadly state that neither the attacks that took place in recent days, nor the criminal cases opened in 2020 in European capitals, as well as in Los Angeles, against Azerbaijani diplomatic missions and members of Azerbaijani communities, have been brought to justice,” – the message says.
