Road opening: how new sections of highways will simplify the life of Russians
And what other plans do the authorities have for the development of the transport network?

Head of State and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin took part in the ceremony via video conference call from Zaryadye Park. When they contacted the road builders, Putin gave the command to start traffic on the site. After that, the first cars drove along the highway.

After the movement was launched, the Russian leader turned to the builders.

“Thank you very much! It is difficult to work here, special conditions: the capital, Moscow, metropolis. You noticed that there are practically no such projects in other similar agglomerations, but we do. Thanks to your talent, they are successfully implemented,” he said.

On July 26, the Presidium of the Moscow Government adopted a resolution according to which travel on the MSD for residents of the capital and the region will be free. There will also be a complete ban on the movement of trucks on the MSD, with the exception of vehicles with passes to travel through the capital region.

At the end of January, Sobyanin announced that the construction of the MSD was at the final stage. He noted that the creation of MSD will provide faster and more comfortable trips from one part of the city to another for millions of motorists. The project is expected to be completed in 2023.

MSD is a new highway that will run from Simferopol highway to the Moscow-St. Petersburg toll highway with a branch to the M-12 Moscow-Kazan highway.
