Sony plans to release half of its games on PCs and mobile devices by 2025

“Extending to PCs and mobile devices, and, I must say … also to live services, we have the opportunity to move from a situation of presence in a very narrow segment of the overall gaming software market to a presence almost everywhere,” – said the president of Sony Interactive Entertainment Jim Ryan in the comments published by the Video Games Chronicle.

Ryan said that investing in PCs and mobile devices could lead to a “significant increase in the number of people who play our games, the number of people who love our games, and the number of people who spend money on our games.”

Sony’s presentation predicts that the company is already reaping the rewards of games such as Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone and God of War, and net sales on the platform have more than tripled from $ 80 million last year to $ 300 million in 2022. Sony has announced plans to release more PC games; launching the PlayStation PC label and even acquiring a PC port developer last year.
