The Ukrainian e-sports team NAVI from CS: GO has expelled from its composition the captain – Russian Kirill “BoombI4” Mikhailov. Together with him, the team won the CS: GO World Championship in Stockholm last year.
According to a statement from NAVI, published on the official website, the team has no complaints about Mikhailov’s playing skills. The only argument used by the organization was an attempt to nullify reputational risks against the background of the Russian army’s invasion of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that there are two more Russians left in NAVI – Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutsky and Denis “Electronic” Sharipov. The team has not terminated their contracts with them yet.
