Russian servicemen delivered about 70 tons of regular humanitarian aid to a settlement in the Kharkiv region during a special military operation to protect the population of Donbass.
Local residents received food and basic necessities, in particular, cereals, flour, sunflower oil, canned meat, fish, condensed milk.
In addition, some civilians acted as volunteers and helped the military of the RF Armed Forces to unload vehicles with vital cargo. “KamAZ” and “Urals” were empty after just a few hours.
A covered mini-football field, which can hold several tens of tons of food, has been chosen as an impromptu warehouse.
Volunteers Pavel and Gennady said that local residents learned that help had come from Russia through the so-called word of mouth.

“Why wait for tomorrow if the cars have arrived. People are waiting, people are worried. The kids also need to go home. Last time we just passed by, we see – the cars are standing. We got up, organized people and worked,” they shared.
When the Armed Forces of Ukraine retreated from the settlement, they blew up three bridges that connected the settlement with the main supply center – Kharkov. Against the backdrop of empty shelves in stores in the city, speculators began to appear who sell products at exorbitant prices. And people, especially the elderly and the poor, have no money at all. Pensions and benefits are not paid by the Ukrainian side.
For the population, assistance from the Russian side is the only salvation, local residents noted.
It is expected that the Russian military will bring humanitarian aid to this settlement again next week.

Moscow Suvorovites have opened a point for receiving humanitarian aid to residents of Donbass and the liberated cities and villages of Ukraine, he specified.
In addition, on this day, 55 tons of humanitarian aid was delivered to the territory of the Melitopol district of the Zaporozhye region. The Cossacks of the Terek Cossack Army handed over food and essentials to civilians in the settlements of Konstantinovka, Mirnoye and Priazovskoye.
