Experts of the service for buying and selling cars online “SberAvto” named the most popular car manufacturers among Russians. The results on Tuesday, May 24, were shared by Gazeta.Ru.
Previously, they analyzed online car sales transactions for the period from January to May of this year.
As a result of the study, it turned out that in Moscow they love the “Japanese” the most (20%), the second and third positions are occupied by cars from South Korea (19%) and Germany (18%), the fourth place goes to China (16%). Muscovites preferred buying online Chery Tiggo 7, Chery Tiggo 8 and KIA Rio. Drivers of the Moscow region lean towards the manufacturers of South Korea (33%), after that – to Japan (22%) and Germany (14%). The most popular in the Moscow region are Nissan Qashqai, KIA Rio and Ford Focus.
In St. Petersburg, German automakers (21%) are most trusted, followed by South Korea (20%) and manufacturers from France (15%). As for shopping, Petersburgers like to buy Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai Creta and Skoda Rapid.
Russia (23%), South Korea (20%) and Japan (17%) are the most demanded car-producing countries in Bashkortostan, where they usually buy LADA Granta, KIA Rio and Ford Focus.
In the Nizhny Novgorod region, automakers from the Russian Federation (24%), South Korea (24%), Germany (21%) and China (15%) are preferred, choosing Hyundai Solaris, Chery Tiggo 7 and Volkswagen Polo.
The region of Russia, where 32% drive domestic cars, is the Voronezh region. Drivers in this region drive cars such as LADA Vesta, Opel Astra and Ford Focus. After the Voronezh region follows the Samara region (30%). The second and third places in popularity in the Samara region are shared by manufacturers from South Korea and Japan (17%). Hyundai Solaris, KIA Spectra and LADA Priora are usually bought in the region.
South Korea (23%) is leading in the Krasnodar Territory, followed by Germany (19%) and Japan (17%), and among the more popular cars are Hyundai Solaris, Renault Logan and Lada Granta. In the Sverdlovsk region, drivers more often choose cars from South Korea (29%), and people there usually drive KIA Rio, Ford Focus and LADA Kalina.
A day earlier, specialists from the Russian Automotive Market Research automotive marketing agency predicted a decline in new car sales in Russia amid anti-Russian sanctions.
