Microsoft on Wednesday, June 8, announced a significant reduction in its business in Russia. The decision is linked to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Bloomberg writes.
“Due to changes in economic prospects and their impact on our business in Russia, we have decided to significantly reduce our activities in Russia. We will continue to meet our current contractual obligations with Russian customers, but we will stop new sales,” the technology giant said in a statement.
According to Microsoft, about 400 of their employees will be affected in Russia.
Recall: Microsoft has suspended new sales of products and services in Russia since March 7. According to the Ministry of Finance, the company has provided দেশ 242 million in digital assistance to our country.
After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, American technology and other companies are actively shutting down their operations in Russia. Along with Microsoft, Apple and Nike shut down their business operations in the country in March. In April, a similar decision was made by German software maker SAP.
