“SO-2021 is a system designed for small drones. This system has an intelligent DAA Detect and avoid mode, that is, recognize and avoid. This system understands that the drone is interfering with any aircraft, and gives a signal to leave, fall, deviate, take off, abyss in order to avoid a collision, ”RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
Baburov clarified that now the development is a sample that is only undergoing factory tests on the ground and stands. At the same time, the tests are planned to be completed in early 2023.
It is noted that with the help of artificial intelligence, the system will be able to predict emergency situations.
“It will be the brain of drone security. She will accumulate her own experience. These are neural technologies. She will foresee that it is necessary to evade earlier than it was before on the laid down memory algorithm, ”Baburov said.
He said that SO-2021 is being offered for testing to companies that produce small drones, such as Radar-MS, UZGI, Kronstadt and others.
On January 27, the Russian Defense Ministry said in an interview with Izvestia that the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) would receive an air control center for attack drones. It was clarified that the drone operator from his workplace will be able to control 16 devices at a time.
Earlier, on January 24, it was reported that this summer, flight tests of a sample of the Okhotnik heavy attack unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) will take place. The drone should fit into the concept of air combat in cooperation with the fifth generation Su-57 fighter, the journalists of The Drive noted. Okhotnik, they added, is a leap forward in the use of stealth technology in Russia.
It is expected that the unmanned bomber will enter service with the Russian army in 2024.
