In the new trailer, we will for the first time get acquainted with real-time fighting, which is reminiscent of what Cloud and his gang did in the Final Fantasy VII Remake. The trailer also shows more mysterious icons, powerful monsters that resemble the calls of past Final Fantasies and seem to live in people-controllers called dominants. It seems that friendship with these dominants or struggle with them will be the basis of the plot of the game.
Final Fantasy XVI was shown in 2020 with a bloody trailer that was unlike any of the usually bright and encouraging series. Everyone’s favorite Naoki Yoshida is the creative director of the game, which gives fans of the series hope that this single-player game will be more like the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV (also led by Yoshida), rather than disappointing critics, but still brilliant Final Fantasy XV. Yoshida has promised that news of the game will appear sometime in the spring of 2022 after the pandemic delayed its release schedule for six months. As part of this promise, Yoshida said that Square Enix will begin an interview with the press in the coming months, hoping to share even more information about Final Fantasy XVI.
