A global online database of solar power plants with a capacity of more than 20 MW has been created

Global Energy Monitor (GEM) has introduced a new online tool for mapping solar power plants around 20 MW worldwide.

Global Solar Power Tracker (GSPT) can display projects of any status, including existing arrays or declared plants, as well as solar objects under development or construction. Each solar park is linked to a wiki page on the GEM wiki platform.

The tracking tool provides search results by project name, year of launch, operator, owner, country, capacity and project status. It currently includes 5,190 solar projects with a total capacity of 298.7 GW in 148 countries. It also includes another 3,551 potential projects, bringing the total capacity to 651.6 GW.
