President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that during the 4 months of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, more than 20,000 Ukrainian defenders received awards for their heroic deeds in resisting the Russian occupiers.

Zelensky’s direct speech: “During the four months of the war, more than 20,000 Ukrainian soldiers were awarded state awards. More precisely, 20,463.”
These are the Armed Forces, the National Guard, border guards, these are our rescuers, policemen, intelligence, the Security Service and our doctors.

156 soldiers received the title of Hero of Ukraine.
What a scale of courage! That’s the level of resistance! And if only those whose feat has already been awarded are more than 20 thousand, then what kind of missiles can anyone in Russia hope for? What kind of artillery, what kind of mines can help the occupiers if they are confronted by massive and popular resistance.
Therefore, all our cities – Severodonetsk, Donetsk, Lugansk – we will return everything. Weekly we go to Kherson. Not a day was forgotten about Melitopol, Berdyansk, Energodar and Mariupol. All other cities of Ukraine that are temporarily occupied will be only Ukrainian. They will be thanks to our Heroes. Thanks to each and every one who does not get tired, who does not give in to emotional breakdowns. Who fights and who knows: Victory is ahead, Victory is ours and only ours!”
