Samsung Family Hub turns a smart refrigerator into a TV

Samsung Electronics has announced the upcoming release of the Family Hub Smart Refrigerator, launching the Samsung TV Plus, a free ad-supported broadcasting service.

The company has announced the release of an update for Family Hub 2.0 (2017). Samsung TV Plus features are only available in the US and Korea.

It lets you display content from your TV or smartphone on the built-in 21.5-inch refrigerator screen. However, after the update it is unlikely to be a “TV” with a refrigerator.

Also comes another feature previously available for Samsung TVs in the refrigerator – Art Mode. Family Hub Refrigerators has access to the Art Gallery program, which allows you to display a variety of works of art. This service is free and does not require a subscription. In addition, advanced algorithms contain products inside the refrigerator.
