According to the Wall Street Journal, which also cites anonymous sources, the installations approved for deliveries to Ukrainian territory by the American side will arrive in Kyiv in the next few days.

The day before, CNN channel, citing sources in the US administration, reported that representatives of Kyiv are counting on American MLRS, since they can launch missiles hundreds of kilometers and are superior in this parameter to any weapon system already in the arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The White House ignored Kyiv’s desire to provide them with additional military assistance in the form of such weapons for several weeks amid fears that the Ukrainian side could use these weapons to shell Russia directly.

At the same time, columnist Rajan Laad, in an article for American Thinker, expressed the opinion that uncontrolled deliveries of American weapons to Ukraine could lead to terrorist attacks on US soil. On Thursday, May 26, representatives of Washington and Kyiv held closed-door talks, at which the American side warned Ukrainian colleagues about the risk of escalation due to shelling by Ukraine on the territory of Russian settlements far from the Russian-Ukrainian border. This was reported by Reuters and clarified that sources claim that the United States is concerned about the use by Kyiv of weapons supplied to it to shell Russian settlements.

On May 19, the US Senate approved a bill to allocate additional assistance to Ukraine in the amount of about $40 billion.

Kyiv regularly demands more weapons and funds from the West. Against the backdrop of a special operation carried out by Russia to protect the civilian population of Donbass, the EU countries and the United States have significantly increased the flow of weapons and weapons going to Ukraine.

Moscow launched a special operation to protect the DPR and LPR on February 24. It was preceded by an aggravation of the situation in the region. The Ukrainian authorities have been conducting a military operation against the residents of Donbass, who refused to recognize the results of the coup d’etat in Ukraine, since 2014.
