The well-known graphic design service Canva announced that it is blocking access to Russians and will completely withdraw from the Russian Federation. This is stated in the company’s statement dated June 1.
“We firmly support Ukraine, we support peace and freedom.
Like billions of people around the world, we are shocked as we watch war crimes continue and thousands of innocent people die as Russia continues its illegal war in Ukraine. As we said in early March, we strongly oppose the ongoing acts of aggression by the Russian government and we are committed to promoting peace and security everywhere, which is why we are blocking access to Canva in Russia for the foreseeable future.
As this unjust war approaches its 100th day, I wanted to provide more context on this decision and the work we have been doing since February to support Ukraine,” said co-founder Cliff Obrecht.
