The modest Linden Gardens property was first listed on property website Rightmove three months ago and is priced at £2,578/month
A tiny studio apartment has caused quite a stir with its huge monthly rental costs.
The modest property in Linden Gardens, London was first listed on the property website right movement three months ago.
Despite not having space to swing a cat, prospective tenants would need to shell out a whopping £2,578 a month to live in the property.
Described online as “a stunning luxury studio with high ceilings and a contemporary design on the first floor of a recently renovated historic building”, photos show an all-in-one living space with a lounge/dining area that converts into a bedroom and a tiny kitchenette.
An adjoining bathroom, on the other hand, consists of a narrow power shower, a sink and a toilet.
There is no space for appliances such as a washing machine, which would force tenants to incur additional laundry service charges.
And with little to no storage space, would-be movers with more than a few boxes would have serious trouble finding a home for their belongings.
Despite this, the apartment is listed as fully furnished, stating: “Includes everything you need right down to pots and pans – this is a fully equipped apartment, ideal for busy professionals who just can’t compromise on quality. “
However, the fact that all ancillary costs and WLAN costs are included in the rent is positive for those looking for an apartment.

The refurbished apartment also has a “full CCTV system and electronic entry” for the added security of residents, whilst also having a full-time dedicated property manager “so you can be assured of the highest level of service”.
Estate agents Hampstead Apartments have stated that “pets are accommodated by the owners of the property”, although smokers are not permitted.
To attract renters, the agency also says a “weekly cleaning” and a “welcome pack” are available.
The property has excellent transport links and is only 0.1 miles from Notting Hill tube station and 0.3 miles from Bayswater and Queensway.
In addition, there are four schools within a 0.2 mile radius.
There are a number of restaurants and trendy bars nearby, all within walking distance, including The Sun In Splendor on Portobello Road and Farm Girl.
The listing adds: “It is probably one of the very best quiet residential streets in the area, which is also in close proximity to Hyde Park, Notting Hill and High Street Kensington and is on a safe and quiet cul-de-sac.”
