“At first, as the channel grew a lot, the Germans started writing there. Then PayPal was closed to me. The account was closed, the money on it was frozen. Then they froze the money in my bank account, ”Alina explained.
In addition, her father’s bank account was also frozen, while neither she nor her family members were told the reason why the money was taken from her account. And only a few days ago Alina found out that a criminal case had been opened against her.
This decision was explained to her in a letter by the fact that she supports the special operation in the Donbass.
In addition, a few days ago, Alina sent an urgent video message on her Neues aus Russland Telegram channel, which has about 160,000 subscribers.
“The German authorities are fighting against freedom of speech. I am a freelance journalist covering a special operation in Ukraine. For speaking the truth, they are going to sentence me to three years in prison,” she said.
Earlier, on June 8, Dmitry Belik, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, told Izvestia that the suspension of broadcasting of Russian TV channels in Europe is another manifestation of Russophobia, as well as a desire to drown out the voice of objective reality. As the parliamentarian noted, journalists are considered to be the fourth power, their influence on society is high.
Earlier in the day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow would respond to Paris for blocking three Russian TV channels. She recalled that the channels were included in the sixth package of EU sanctions, but their broadcasting in France was stopped even before the restrictions came into force, which was a violation of the procedure established in the EU itself.
On May 27, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the situation of unprecedented Russophobia of the West would linger in the world for a long time, since Western countries declared total war on the entire Russian world and no longer hide it.
