The National Police of Ukraine prevented a terrorist attack against the country’s leadership. This was announced on Wednesday, June 15, by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Enin.
“I want to emphasize that the population is actively helping us. Largely thanks to the information received from our operational sources, we even managed to prevent a terrorist attack against the leadership of our state, ”the Ukrainian agency Ukrinform quotes him as saying.
He stressed that specific information about the prevention of the terrorist attack would be given later, and did not provide other details.
Enin also noted that over the past few months, about 800 people suspected of sabotage and reconnaissance activities have been detained and transferred to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). In addition, 123 counter-sabotage groups have been created in the country.
