A few days ago, a future Motorola smartphone called the Moto G42 was spotted on several certification websites with model number XT2233. The lists reveal some details about the phone. The device also leaked on renderings showing its design. Now the phone has appeared on Geekbench, showing its chipset.
According to Geekbench, the future Motorola Moto G42 will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. This is the same chip that the Moto G52 is equipped with.
In addition to the chip, the list on the benchmarking platform states that the device will load Android 12. In any case, this was already known thanks to the FCC and WiFi Alliance.
According to the list on the Lenovo website, the Moto G42 is codenamed HawaiiPlusOLED22. This suggests that it may have an OLED display, as in the Moto G52, but it is unknown whether the screen will support high refresh rates.
Certificates also revealed features such as dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC and 4G connectivity. In addition, renderings also revealed the design.
The appearance of the phone will be almost identical to the Moto G52 with a vertically aligned triple camera on the back and a centered screen with perforation on the front.
Based on the above details, the Moto G42 may be only slightly different from the Moto G52 and will probably be cheaper. We expect Motorola to announce this phone in the coming days.
